Aloha Friday and Give me your best shot 11/06

In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response.

If you’d like to participate, just post your own question on your blog and head over here. Don’t forget to visit the other participants! It’s a great way to make new bloggy friends!

What are your Thanksgiving traditions?

We switch back and forth between inlaws year and my family's year, this year it's my family's year, but I am not sure what they are doing. Also my mother's birthday is always a day or two different than the holiday so we have that celbration. We have no Black friday traditions but I would like to get the girls of the family together and wake up EARLY to shop, shop, shop.

I put up my Christmas tree every year on Thanksgiving night...we get a bag of kettle popcorn and the whole family helps. We used to go to my Grandma's every year but the last few years they have had a lot of sickness and so I made my very first Thanksgiving dinner last year. I am thinking about making it again this year...but worried that I will miss my family! That is a great picture of you little one!! Aloha!!

We just have a family dinner with the usual traditional foods :-) The day after Thanksgiving we put up the Christmas tree :-)

At dinner we take turns saying what we are thankful for. It's wonderful to hear what everyone has to say.

What a precious little face!!

As far as Thanksgiving traditions, I think most of our traditions center around food AND the unpacking of the Christmas decorations, videos, books, and music. I love to enter the Christmas season!

I'm hosting Thanksgiving this year for the first time, kind of nervous about it!! I've never roasted a turkey before. ACK!
