Hello to all!
I have been thinking a lot lately, and thinking about how tight money is and how everyone is going through this financial struggle and how much stress it puts on a family and a marriage etc etc etc.
That combined with the WANT to shop on Black Friday and get killer deals I have decided to see if any of you Etsy shop owners wanted to join in on a BLACK FRIDAY party and have some killer prices (black friday prices if you will) in your shops to help out the financially stressed.
I realize not all of you have an Etsy shop, but I am asking for your help in spreading the word and getting people to join, I think we should ask each shop to list a handful of items at a DEEP discounted price and label them black friday/ or black friday pricing to help direct shoppers to the discounted items.
I also think that we should plan it for a day other than the REAL Black Friday so that we can run around town and get those Black Friday deals also. So what do you think? BLACK WED? before Thanksgiving...?

This sounds like a great idea. I'll have to check with the other half of the Crafty Girls Duo but I think she'll agree that it's a great way to drive traffic to our shop and help support buying handmade! Of course, our shop mainly sells supplies to create your own handmade items but that could be beneficial to shoppers otu there too! This is a great idea we can do something with this.
So I'm clear your suggesting the Wed before Thanksgiving, and label the discounted items "Black Friday"
Should we add a description the listing ? as in we sell neckties should our listing include that or just be listed as "Black Friday"
We was planning a Friday Sale anyway maybe this will give us a chance to start our's on Wed. and continue thru Fri.
