I learned that there are things in the sale that aren't advertised and again, thanks to pinching your pennies who gave me a whole UPC list of what items were not advertised. Including (just to name a few) smaller bottles of Downy, Iams dog food, Dawn Simple Pleasures, Pampers diapers and wipes... anyway it's madness. I learned that along with the spend $30.00 and get 15 in CATS they have a deal if you spend $25.00 in baby products (that includes the Pampers diapers and wipes I mentioned above you get another $5 in CATS.
So this is what I bought
TOTAL= 3.99 /3= 2.02EACH
(these coupons were in a blinkie in that isle right in front of the diapers!!!, GET EASIER!)
RP was 12.49 each
P.S. I did this transaction 3 times!!! (except I could only double 6 coupons not 9) so the first 6 bags were 2.02 each the last 3 were 3.02 each) 21.18 total for 9 bags, (reg price is 12.49 EACH!)
***to get the 4.02 starting price you calculate like this: SP 10.69 you need 3 of these to hit your 30.00 mark so 32.07 for all three, then you get 15CATS back for spending 30 and 5 more CATS for spending it in babystuff. so 32.07-20.00= 12.07 /3= 4.02 EACH before coupons then -6.00coupons=6.07/3= 2.02EACH*** Yes, we can think of the 20CATS as cash we didn't spend because although you spend it the first time you use the coupons for your second transaction and it's like it was cash, in the end you end up with one set of CATS left, BUT it's like you bought a 15 or 20 dollar gift card to Albertsons to use on reg. groceries... that's how it works. AND yes, correction you're not suppose to roll your CATS into your next purchase of diapers because technically Pampers is a Proctor and gamble co. but you can use it on the other items in the sale, like gogurts OR pretend you bought that many gifts cards for future use. OR (you like my many options?!?!) OR like me in my first transaction back when I didn't know anybetter anyway, my checker never gave me my CATS she kept them and scanned them automatically for my next set of 30.... or like yesterday... my cashier asked if I wanted to use them, I said no. they aren't allowed on PG items, and she told me SO they work! and I showed here where it said it right on the coupon (which I couldn't find that informatioin on the extra BABY5) anyway and she proceeded to tell me she would take them anyway etc and snitched them from my hands, but honestly I wasn't going to argue with a cashier in front of the line of people behind me... so whatever LOL
Wow sorry that was long winded...
Ok for my 4th transaction I got this
Pampers wipes 1.67x5= 8.35 no coupons but who needs them when they are on sale for 1.67 a refill???!?! (p.s. that is 1/2 the price we pay for the cheaper brand at COSTCO!)
and*not pictured* two gogurts at 1.25x2= 2.50-1.00 /2 = .75each
(I had to add the gogurts to make the 30.00 mark, and I wanted more and they were out of the type of wipes I wanted)
SO READY SET GO SHOPPING! THIS DEAL LASTS UNTIL TUESDAY AT MIDNIGHT!!!

I love saving money with coupons...but I don't get as excited anymore because NO ONE doubles coupons in Northern Utah.
I used to be the coupon queen when I lived in Denver.

I guess you won't be worrying about diapers for a few days. I love your savvy shopping. There's supposed to be an Albertsons somewhere near me in San Diego, but I have yet to find out. I might just go looking now...

I'm amazed at the great deals you got - but was lost in all the writing. I've never been a coupon person - so I'm clueless with all the lingo :o) Enjoying your blog. Happy SITS day.

Happy SITS Feature Day.
I'm just cracking up over here, going through all that math. I get excited if something is 10% off and I can remember to bring the coupon to the store before it expires. I'm seriously impressed! You go, girl!
Whoa! That's awesome. For a minute there I thought maybe I stumbled onto an accounting blog! Nice job.

Albertson's terrifies me in general but you can sure get some ridiculous deals there. I bought my daughter about 10 GREAT books there before last Christmas for less than $1 each!
You saved a lot of money. It's great that you offer to help people who want to learn how to do the same. I enjoyed visiting your blog.
Stopping by from SITS

Wow! I'm in awe of you frugal, couponing moms. My little sister has a large family and is a great couponer. I'm always amazed at the deals she gets. Happy Couponing!

Way to rock the checkout! I really love to shop with the flier, using my coupons...doubling. It's all good.
Except I've never tried to break it all down like you did. Maybe it's just me, but it looked a lot like algebra, didn't it? :D I'm itching to clip some coupons, thank you!
Take Care,
~C
